Free Crystalline Glazes Workshop
& Open House for our
New Pottery Studio
April 30th and May 1st, 2011
9am to 4pm

AMOCA presents a hands-on workshop with Tom Wallick using his collection of crystalline glazes, including some elements that cannot be found elsewhere. Attendees will be able glaze their own bisque pieces.  These creations will be fired on Saturday and will be ready to take home on Sunday! Mr. Wallick will also perform a throwing demonstration displaying a technique that he has dubbed “Prehistoric Throwing”. The workshop will also feature free throwing hands-on demostrations by Matt Evans.

The workshop will also serve as an Open House to AMOCA’s new Pottery Studio and Ceramic Studios.  Come to our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 12 noon on Sunday and envision yourself working with all the equipment the school has to offer.  

Attendees are encouraged to bring two small bisque cone 10 pieces to glaze, glazing brushes, a liner brush, clean up sponge, and any crystalline glaze formulas to share with the group.

Food will be available for purchase between 11am and 3pm from Pranzo Gourmet Sandwiches on Saturday and Grindhaus Sausage on Sunday.
